For the second year in a row Aurion’s community event for 2021 was held online, although over a hundred community members logged on to attended on Wednesday 15 December.

Two round table discussions were held to explain:

  • what we’re doing on Reconciliation
  • how we’ve been supporting our Community over the past year
  • the way Aurion has navigated a hybrid working model
  • what to expect from our cloud-native Aurion V12 in early 2022
  • new and upcoming enhancements to Aurion V11.

Aurion is actively involved in a Reconciliation journey, and our General Manager of People & Culture Cara Haslop, talked us through the status of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and the initiative Aurion’s RAP Working Group undertook this year with our Toowong office meeting rooms.

The executive roundtable featured our Executive General Manager Kathryn Wilson, General Manager of Software Operations Derek Walsh and Cara Haslop who together unpacked key challenges businesses face including adopting a hybrid working model, Reconciliation and innovation.

The roundtable with our four Client Advocates covered important updates to our Payroll products
in the last 6 months, and upcoming improvements to Aurion V11.

They were excited by the progress we’ve made this year and the positive feedback they received from the Community. The advocates were challenged by the sheer volume of requests but discussed what got put forward to a release and why, and how we worked through changing the prioritisation process.

A few of the key enhancements from 2021 we illustrated with a live demo, and an overview was provided of changes to Onboarding, Immunisation, Reset calendar days and tax file numbers.

On behalf of the entire Aurion team, we want to thank the Aurion community for their time and interest in the annual event, and we look forward to supporting you all again next year!
