Human Resources Director (HRD) Australia magazine have today announced Aurion is a winner of their 5-Star Employer of Choice Award for 2022. We’re honoured to win the award and join leading enterprises in this year’s winners’ circle, including Adobe, Telstra, Cooper Grace Ward Lawyers, Queensland Treasury Corporation and CareFlight.

We were judged by HRD as an employer on initiatives and achievements across key areas, including communication and access to technology, but also work-life balance, career opportunities and health and wellbeing.

As a star-performer in our parent company Recruit Holdings global network of HR solutions providers, Aurion is focused on maintaining a culture of excellence and inclusion to engage our team members and drive recruitment, as we build the next generation of automated payroll and HR solutions.

Expanding our Teams
Our team is passionate about leveraging technology to deliver tangible business outcomes for our clients. Although our software was built over 30 years ago, we’ve transformed into a modern agile environment using a mix of technologies previously thought impossible.

Just like a start-up, our new agility has led to an AU$45 million investment from our parent company to transform our flagship Aurion software solution to go global over the next five years, which means we’re expanding our local development team.

Long-term careers
We have many great examples of people progressing their careers at Aurion, with an honour board for those who have celebrated 10, 20 and 30-year work anniversaries.

Aurion General Manger of Client Services, Greg Crerar, celebrated 10 years with Aurion in September 2021. He has advanced through three previous positions to lead our Project Management team in implementing strategic change programs. Greg has been part of the Aurion ‘Ignite’ emerging leaders program and has also been selected to participate in the Elevate leadership program in 2022.

The trio of software developers who founded Aurion in the late 1980s celebrated 30 years with Aurion in 2021. Aurion founder and software developer John Wegert says, “I love working here and I love what’s happening with the business. I could never imagine how big this was going to become and how much it would change.”

Local success story
